Hi all! I wanted to give an update on the past few weeks, which I have been spending in Indianapolis, Indiana. I arrived three weeks ago for Alpha Gamma Delta’s leadership conference, TLC, and hit the ground running. After a red eye flight, I went straight to the hotel for a staff photo shoot, helped set up for our three day long conference, and even participated in a fashion show in front of 600+ people that evening! The main focus of TLC was educating the attendees on our new membership selection policies, providing leadership and recruitment training, and promoting connections between members of all ages from across North America. I was even able to facilitate two breakout sessions for groups of 40-50 during the conference- such a great experience! My favorite part of TLC was seeing so many of the collegians and advisors/volunteers I have worked with over the past year. Here are a few pictures from The Leadership Conference:

Delta Rho’s (Sonoma State) all reunited in Indianapolis!
After TLC, we moved into our apartments in Carmel, Indiana, which is 30 minutes north of downtown Indianapolis and got settled before training. We have spent the past two weeks in full training mode, much of which I have gotten the opportunity to lead or facilitate. It has been a great privilege to help onboard our 13 first year consultants with Katelyn, who is also a returning consultant, and I’m looking forward to three more jam-packed weeks of training. Alpha Gamma Delta International Headquarters has gone through quite a few changes in the past few months with so many new staff members joining the team, including our new Executive Director, Wendy Faust, who happens to be a mentor of mine from my home chapter :). I can’t wait to see all of the great things our new leadership team will accomplish this year! This year will also look a lot different for me in taking a slightly different role as a Senior Leadership Consultant and I am beyond excited to continue learning more about our organization and how to better serve our members. During our off time, we have been able to do some fun things around Indy and even got to attend a staff outing at an Indianapolis Indians baseball game! Over our long 4th of July weekend, I spent a lot of time by the pool, went to the CarmelFest festival/fair on the 4th, watched fireworks, tasted all kinds of food at the Taste of Indy food truck festival, and checked out the famous Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, which is now one of my all-time favorite museums! Here are a few pictures:
Indians game, giant blown glass sculpture at the Children’s Museum, and looking up at the glass exhibit
Maze of mirrors and practicing our green screen skills
Dinosaur fossils at the Children’s Museum and view of the fireworks from our apartment complex!
I will post another update before I hit the road once I get my travel schedule for the semester! Thanks for reading 🙂
